Is Acne Anti Aging Skin Care Really Working
Does Acne Anti Aging products work, well most people find that they do. However, the results with the acne control would be visible much sooner than the reversal of aging signs and hence you should be prepared to wait for this. The earliest you can see a difference in the skin texture and its suppleness would be somewhere around four weeks after you started the treatment.

The acne anti aging skin care is usually best adopted when the skin just started showing signs of aging – such as dryness, fine wrinkles around the eyes and mouth, enlargement of pores, pigmentation and so on. When you apply the acne anti aging skin care treatment at this time – say at about 35-40 years of age; the results would be dramatically obvious and at the same time it would prevent further deterioration.

The best acne anti aging skin care should start around 25 plus years of age, when the skin has started experiencing internal damage, though not yet visible from the outside. The collagen layer, the pores, and the texture of the skin – everything starts to change about this time. However, the impact would be seen only some five to ten years later.

Time was that the best hope for a younger looking face was to go under the knife of a qualified plastic surgeon. From the repair of droopy eyelids to face lifts, the surgical route could be expensive, painful and the final result was never guaranteed. If the result was not satisfactory, correcting the problem could mean another expensive surgical procedure. As with any invasive medical procedure, facial or plastic surgery can have adverse side effects and inherent risks. This is not to say that qualified medical professionals are not capable, just that certain procedures come with certain risks.

With the turn of the twenty first century came a plethora of new and exciting skin care procedures that are less invasive than traditional cosmetic and plastic surgery. Advances in laser technology have also played a big part in the movement toward enhancing ones body image. It is important to note that many of these new techniques can still be quite expensive and are not completely without risk. The intense drive to forestall the ravages of aging and stay young looking was once thought of as just for movie stars and others in the fabulously rich and famous set. Now folks of more modest means are taking advantage of this new age in skin care.

An advantage of many new skin rejuvenation techniques lies in a lack of permanence. That is it to say that the effects of procedures like injections of Botox last for only about four or five months before the procedure needs to be repeated. Botox is actually botulism toxin that has been diluted and temporarily paralyzes the muscle tissue and reduces the look of facial wrinkles. The effects wear off as the toxin breaks down in the tissue so to maintain the desired look the injections must be repeated. Studies seem to suggest that the effects of Botox become more long lasting as the muscle tissue will eventually begin to shrink or atrophy.

Other injectable types of skin wrinkle reducers include hyaluronic acid that is marketed as dermal filler used to fill in facial wrinkles. Like Botox, hyaluronic acid has a limited effectiveness, usually less than six months and it is applied through a minimally invasive injection. Unlike Botox which can take several days to work, the effects of hyaluronic acid can be seen almost immediately.

Collagen injections had become a popular way to enhance facial appearance. Collagen is commonly used to change the shape and contour of the lips as well as fill in wrinkles and other facial imperfections. With the introduction of hyaluronic acid and Botox, collagen products have become less popular. This may be due to the longer recovery period associated with injections of collagen.

Women are not the only ones seeking the injectable fountain of youth. In increasing numbers, men are having their crows feet filled and their facial wrinkles erased. One possible explanation may lie in how the employment market has changed over the last several decades. Occupations once dominated by men have increasingly been rendered gender neutral as more women have entered the work force. The result has been an increased competition for available jobs and men have found it necessary to gain an edge in the hiring process. Some experts contend that men also face more competition from younger workers.

A risk exists in the proliferation of counterfeit injectables and providers who are less than properly trained. So consumers must take the time to ensure that the skin care service or procedure they receive is being provided by a qualified professional who uses quality, FDA approved products. Any time a substance is injected into the body a risk exists for adverse reactions. If you have any doubts about adverse reactions, always consult a medical professional before having those wrinkles removed.

We all need to consider skin care for out hands . Our hands can take one heck of a beating during the course of a normal workday. Regardless of what kind of work you do, the skin of you hands is exposed to bacteria, dirt, and chemicals. Properly caring for your hands can help to prevent premature skin aging and help to keep you healthy.
skin care hands
Our parents had it right when they would remind us to wash our hands. The first rule of thumb when it comes to caring for your hands is to keep them clean. The skin is a waterproof organ so getting it wet will not damage it in any way. Regular hand washing can reduce our exposure to many types of communicable health problems like the flu and the common cold. Using soap helps to break down the natural surface tension of water and aids in removing dirt and bacteria. Antibacterial soaps can be effective but any good hand soap will do since the trick is to wash your hands for at least twenty seconds. Dry your hands thoroughly with a clean cloth or paper towel or, if you prefer, use a warm air hand dryer.

If preventing dry skin and keeping your hands soft and supple is important, the time to use a moisturizer is right after you wash them. Some harsh hand soaps and cleaners can dry out the skin and hand creams and lotions do little to add moisture to the skin. What these products are good for is keeping moisture in the skin by slowing down the rate of evaporation of sweat and retaining the skin natural moisture. Whether you prefer an expensive hand lotion or use the bargain brand really does not matter since even a light application of good old fashioned petroleum jelly will do the trick just as well as the pricey hand cream.

Washing dishes is always a chore and washing dishes by hand can be hard on your skin. The degreasing ingredients in many dishwashing liquids can really dry out your hands by washing away the oils in the skin. Some dishwashing liquids are less harsh than others but if you notice that your hands are dried and cracked after doing dishes, you might consider wearing rubber gloves. Gloves may take some getting used to but they do offer the best protection. Whether or not you use gloves, always wash your hands with a mild soap and apply some hand cream after your chore is complete.

Whether working in the garden or doing other types work around the house, garden gloves can save lots of wear and tear on your hands. Gloves can be especially important and are definitely required if you are working with any type insecticide or pesticide. Not only can these chemicals be hard on the skin but may cause adverse skin reactions. Even if you wear gloves, always wash your hands thoroughly to remove any traces of chemical residue. There are protective creams available that will help prevent chemicals from contacting the skin but these creams can be messy, especially in hot weather so gloves are still the best way to protect your skin.

Working on the family car or garden equipment like mowers and trimmers can leave you with grease on your hands. Never use solvents or petrochemical solutions to degrease your hands as these chemicals will de-fat the skin be flushing away the skins natural oils, and these chemicals can be very hazardous to your health. Instead, use a mild hand degreaser and then apply a moisturizing cream.

Many of us take time to care for our face and for the same reasons taking the time to care for your hands will pay off by helping to reduce the signs of premature skin aging.

Pregnancy Risk Factors

Many factors affect the development of a fetus into a healthy child, some which are beyond your control and others that are within your control. Here are ten of the most common pregnancy risk factors that can be controlled or influenced:

1. Smoking - Smoking is not only bad for you, but bad for your baby as well. Smoking during pregnancy reduces the amount of oxygen that the baby receives and increases the risk of miscarriage, bleeding, and morning sickness. Chemicals inhaled while smoking may lead to other health problems with the baby. Reduced birth weight, premature birth, increased risk of SIDS, and stillbirth are other possible consequences. Pregnant women should also avoid second hand smoke.

2. Alcohol - Drinking can cause fetal alcohol syndrome, including symptoms like low birth weight, medical problems, and behavior abnormalities. As soon as you know you are pregnant, stop drinking. For more detailed information on problems that can be caused by alcohol.

3. Caffeine - There are many conflicting studies about caffeine and pregnancy and some believe that caffeine is not as harmful as it was once thought to be. Nevertheless, the FDA warns against caffeine consumption during pregnancy and suggests quitting or reducing consumption at the very least. Caffeine has been shown to affect fetal heart rates and awake time (fetuses grow when sleeping). Decaffeinated coffee can also be harmful since producers often add additional chemicals to remove the caffeine. Caffeine can also increase risk of stretch marks. Suddenly quitting coffee intake can cause headaches; so most experts recommend gradually reducing the amount consumed.

4. Drugs and Herbal Remedies - Always be careful about drugs or herbal remedies that are not prescribed by a doctor. These substances may affect the development of your unborn child.

5. Nutrition - Good nutrition is crucial to a developing child, particularly getting enough folic acid. Lack of folic acid can cause birth defects. At least 400-1000 micrograms of this B vitamin is suggested (about ten times more if you’ve already had a child with neural tube birth defects) starting one month before pregnant and throughout the entire pregnancy. Leafy vegetables, orange juice, and beans are some natural sources of folic acid. Many stores sell vitamins with folic acid.

6. Exercise - Moderate exercise is helpful as it improves the mother’s mental state and can increase oxygen flow to the fetus. However, over-exertion can be dangerous. Most experts recommend reducing your exercise intensity during pregnancy. Activities like walking, swimming, and yoga are popular for pregnant women.

7. Prenatal Care - Regular doctor visits are important to your baby’s development. The body undergoes many changes during pregnancy. Some side effects may be completely normal, whereas other may not. Regular monitoring by a professional will help ensure that your baby will be born healthy.

8. Multiple sex partners - Multiple sex partners can increase risk of STD’s, which in turn may lead to birth and pregnancy complications, like low birth weight or premature birth.

9. Exposure to chemicals - During pregnancy, reduce exposure to unnatural chemicals, particularly pesticides in food. Many people now eat organic produce, which is grown without chemicals. The simplest precaution to take before consuming vegetables or fruits is to wash them thoroughly. Also, removing the outer surface of vegetables can be helpful since most pesticides will rest on the outside of the vegetable or fruit.

10. Other factors - Many other factors can affect fetal development, including heart disease, the mother’s age (before 15 years and after 35 years is riskier), asthma, excessive stress or depression, diseases, and bleeding. Consult your physician if you are affected by any of these conditions.

Acne Care During Pregnancy
3 Preventive Steps To Restrict Breakout

The chances of acne breaking out is very high in the first three months of pregnancy because the hormonal changes that place during this time are quite substantial, especially progesterone. Progesterone enhances the secretions of the skin. The oil glands get very active, which makes it easier for the bacteria to flourish and cause acne breakouts.

However, the acne problem during pregnancy is temporary in nature and as soon as the hormonal level comes down to normal, they tend to vanish without a trace. So, you need not worry.

The Caution
If your skin is prone to acne or you have had serious acne outbreaks earlier and you plan to get pregnant, you may consult a doctor regarding your acne problem before your actually get pregnant. This would ensure that you are well prepared with useful medical advice before it is time for an acne outbreak.

This preparation is important because unlike the normal acne outbreak, the outbreak during pregnancy cannot be treated with strong medicines. This is because strong antibiotics may harm the baby, which is the last thing you want. The treatments, therefore, has to be far milder. And if you are prepared, you could take certain preventive steps to ensure that the acne outbreak does not get too serious.

A) The first and the foremost, start drinking as much water as you can because it keeps the skin hydrated and helps skin cells flush out waste more efficiently. Moreover, during pregnancy skin is more likely to dry than in normal condition. So, drinking lots of water helps.

B) Add more fruits and vegetable to your daily diet. Eating raw vegetables is especially useful. Drinking water and eating fruits and vegetable would not only help you prevent acne outbreak but would also improve your over all health.

C) Take special care of hygiene. Wash your face with plain, running water as often as you can, and use mild cleanser as a face wash a couple of times in the day. Do not use too much of cleanser because that may have a drying effect on your skin. If your skin is oily, use clay masks. They are very useful in absorbing excessive oil.

Taking good care of yourself would ensure that acne troubles you the least in those special days.

by Jean Helmet

Acne is a very common problem among men and women of all ages. In this condition, the skin gets populated by small red pimples, usually filled with pus. Other skin related problems like blackheads and ugly spots are also sometimes listed under acne. This acne information here will discuss the causes of acne and the possible treatments that can be employed to cure it.

The causes of acne are not fully known because they vary widely from person to person. There could be genetic reasons behind this problem, and some people also attribute it to improper diet. Normally, acne appears during puberty, when hormones inside the body are changing drastically. Acne could be an after-effect of some medication and even sex or pregnancy.

Acne information tells us that the most common causes of this problem are disturbance of hormone levels in the body, and the use of too many cosmetics and seasonal changes. Acne, due to genetic reasons is difficult to cure. However, preventive measures can still be taken to avoid irritation and swelling.

The treatments of acne range from simple home remedies to complex laser surgery. Herbal treatments are inexpensive and do not have any side effects associated with them. Therefore, they are normally recommended for people belonging to all age groups. One of these treatments, which should be mentioned here in our acne information, is the ClearPores facial system for acne cure.

Acne information tells us that an internal cure of this disease is very important in order to eliminate it completely. Otherwise it will keep coming back after a period of time.

It is advisable to complete a 3 months course of ClearPores to see positive results. Even after the completion of the course, you should take extra care of your skin by cleaning it regularly and eating green vegetables and fresh fruits. A lot of water and at least 8 or 9 hours of sleep everyday are also vital to long-term skin health.

Save Your Money - Cheap Natural Dry Skin Care Tips

Xeroderma literally means “dry skin”. Xeroderma is a very common condition. As we age, our skin produces less of the natural oil that helps it retain its moisture.

Skin consists of loose connective tissue and elastin. Skin also receives less blood flow and lower gland activity. The average square inch of skin holds 650 sweat glands, 20 blood vessels, 60,000 melanocytes, and more than a thousand nerve endings.

The epidermis can be further subdivided into the following strata (beginning with the outermost layer): corneum, lucidum (only in feet), granulosum, spinosum, and basale. The dermis is the layer of skin beneath the epidermis that consists of connective tissue and cushions the body from stress and strain. The dermis is structurally divided into two areas: a superficial area adjacent to the epidermis, called the papillary region, and a deep thicker area known as the reticular region.

Certain drugs, including diuretics, antispasmodics, and antihistamines, can contribute to dry skin. Dry skin could be due to a genetic condition. The skin loses moisture and may crack and peel, or become irritated and inflamed. Symptoms most associated with Xeroderma are scaling (the visible peeling of the outer skin layer), itching, and cracks in the skin.

The use of natural or synthetic cosmetics to treat the appearance of the face and condition of the skin (such as pore control and blackhead cleansing) is common among many cultures. For any skin condition, it’s always better to take a natural approach. Natural treatment should always be the first type of treatment to consider when you want to take the best care of your skin.

Eat high-fiber snacks like raw nuts, raw seeds, and dried fruit, such as dates, and figs. You want to work from the inside out too. Drink plenty of water, a minimum of a quart a day. Put 2 tablespoons of coconut oil in your smoothies. Eat foods that contain essential fatty acids.

It just takes motivation, a willingness to try it, and diligent application of coconut oil several times daily and at bedtime to see its benefits. Also use a thin layer of coconut oil under your make-up to moisturize your skin all day. Use coconut oil to remove your make-up at night, like I do; it leaves a fine layer of oil to nourish your skin all night long. Apply coconut oil to heal and soothe your skin.

Dry skin can be converted into healthy skin using natural home remedies. The skin supports its own ecosystems of microorganisms, including yeasts and bacteria, which cannot be removed by any amount of cleaning. The skin must be regularly cleaned or it’ll become cracked or inflamed.

If nothing seems to work it might be more than dry skin, so you should see the doctor. Make sure to call your dermatologist when you have any open cuts or sores from scratching that won’t heal. It’s time to call the doctor when all your home remedies do not relieve your dryness and itching.
